  We provide a new release approximately every 2 months. Any one of the regional zip files represent everything you need to update the device software and content, and are compatible with both Bridge Hub (from release 18.1 onwards) and Bridge Terminal.

  There are also update releases which consist of a new software build only. These may be released due to urgent requests or fixes for issues found. These releases are presented as a zip file with the update.

  Instructions on how to update a device

  • Download the zip for the desired build and region.
  • You need a FAT32 formatted micro SD card or USB drive (for the biggest zips you need 16GB of available storage).
  • Unzip the folder to the SD card or USB drive using winzip or 7zip (don’t use windows explorer since it leads to 0kb files with large zips).
  • Insert the SD card/USB drive in your device.
  • Start "Software update".
  • A dialogue will inform that: "The software update configuration has been updated.".
  • Updating can now proceed.
  • The device will reboot during software the update. When the update is finished you can remove the storage media.

Before testing this release, please understand that Android does not support downgrading. Once a Bridge device has been upgraded to 18.3 or later it cannot be downgraded to 18.1 or earlier. Android 6 uses more memory, the expected free memory (RAM) for 3rd party applications is approximately 200MB or slightly less.
