What is the Automotive Beta Program?

The Automotive Beta Program allows TomTom employees to actively test our products and provide feedback to improve and refine them. Participants get early access to the latest TomTom products and contribute directly to their development, helping shape the future of automotive technology.

How do I join the Automotive Beta Program?

Currently, the program is open to internal employees, with no additional actions required to get started at this moment. A sign-up process will be introduced soon for enhance engagement and to provide personalized testing opportunities. Stay tuned for updates!

What do I need to test?

We encourage you to explore and test various TomTom products. Your insights on any aspect that catches your attention are valuable.

Is it available in different countries?

Yes, the program is open to employees across various countries where TomTom operates.

Where do I get a device?

Devices can be booked through this website. Have a look at the available devices.

Can I test with my own device?

Currently, we recommend using compatible devices provided through the Automotive Beta Pogram, as they come preinstalled with everything required for testing. Guidance on using your own devices will be available in future updates.

Can I test with my own car?

We encourage using your own car for testing where possible.

How do I book a demo car for testing?

Currently, demo cars are not bookable through the platform, but we aim to include this feature in the future.

What should I do with the testing device once I'm done?

Instructions for returning the device will be communicated via email after booking. Follow these guidelines to return the device properly.

How long does the Automotive Beta Program last?

Individual testings within the program can range from a quick 10-minute tests to more in-depth testing spanning weeks, depending on specific objectives and testing needs. The overall program is designed to be ongoing, continuously evolving with new features, products, and testing opportunities introduced over time to ensure comprehensive feedback and improvement cycles.

How do I opt out of the Automotive Beta Program?

Currently, no action is needed to opt out. In the future, you will be able to manage your participation through your account settings.

How to provide feedback?

To record your feedback, simply tap the Feedback Assistant button. This action begins recording a voice memo. Speak naturally as you describe your feedback.

Why can't I see the Feedback Assistant button on my screen?

If somehow the Feedback Assistant got disabled, you can enable it again.

  • Go to the Settings menu in the application you are using.
  • Select Developer settings from the Settings menu.
  • Scroll down to Enable bug reporting and enable it.

The Feedback Assistant button is now added to your screen.
